Manufacturing 100: Labor Entry for JobOps

The "Labor Entry" program efficiently creates accurate Labor entries in Sage 100 using a mobile device connected to a wireless network from the Workshop floor without requiring a Sage license.

All the options explained below are on the "Labor Entry" tab in the web portal at Customers.Scanco.com

NOTE: The lookup button can be displayed or removed depending on Profile settings. Click this link for additional information.

The portal options on the Labor Entry tab.

The options control how the programming works and what the user can do on the data collection device. See the picture below for all the options.

The "Allow Labor Entry Activities" option must be enabled before the Labor Entry application can be used on the data collection device.

NOTE: When using the "Track in" and "Track out", if you forget to Track out at the end of the day you will be prompted to Track out the next time you work.

AutoTrack Out, when enabled the user can start Work Ticket 1 and then start Work Ticket 2 and Work Ticket 1 will be stopped automatically. When you reach the Work Ticket of the day, enter that Work Ticket a second time, and you can then Track out to stop that last ticket.

Allow Edit Comment can be enabled to allow the user to enter a comment.

Time Dilutions [None, Batch, Split, Split Auto Out]

This option only works when "Track Start/Stop time" is enabled.

None: Users can start multiple Work Tickets at the same time and the Hours Worked is not adjusted. Example: One user starts multiple CNC processes [Computerized Manufacturing Machining jobs] and you want to track the time involved for all processes.

If the process described above is not your desired process, it is best to advise the users to only work on one ticket at a time unless the "Total time" shown below is the desired result.

Example: Start Work Ticket 1 at 12:00
Start Work Ticket 2 at 12:00
Stop Work Ticket 1 at 1:00
Stop Work Ticket 2 at 1:00

The total time worked is 2 hours.

Work Ticket 1 equals 1 hour.

Work Ticket 2 equals 1 hour.

Batch: The "Allow Track Qty Completed" option should be enabled when using the "Batch" option. Users can start multiple Work Tickets at the same time and the Hours Worked are adjusted by the quantity completed.

Example: Start Work Ticket 1 at 12:00
Start Work Ticket 2 at 12:00
Stop Work Ticket 1 at 1:00 with a quantity of 50
Stop Work Ticket 2 at 1:00 with a quantity of 10

The total time worked is 1 hour.

Work Ticket 1 equals 50 minutes.

Work Ticket 2 equals 10 minutes.

Split: Users can start multiple Work Tickets at the same time and the Hours Worked are adjusted.

Example: Start Work Ticket 1 at 12:00
Start Work Ticket 2 at 12:00
Stop Work Ticket 1 at 1:00
Stop Work Ticket 2 at 1:00

The total time worked is 1 hour.

Work Ticket 1 equals 30 minutes.

Work Ticket 2 equals 30 minutes.

Split Auto Out: This is the same as "Split" accept the user only has to "track out" on one ticket to Stop work on all tickets.

Example:  Start Work Ticket 1 at 1:00
Start Work Ticket 2 at 1:00
Stop Work Ticket 2 at 2:00 and Work Ticket 1 is also stopped.

The total time worked is 1 hour.

Work Ticket 1 equals 30 minutes.

Work Ticket 2 equals 30 minutes.

Break Times: Entries in these prompts will automatically deduct time from the users.

The "Time" format is

00:00 = Midnight

12:00 = Noon

17:00 = 5 PM

23:59 = 11:59 PM

The example below shows how to set up breaks from 5:00 AM to 5:30 AM and 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
