Manufacturing 100: Status Change for Production Management

The Manufacturing 100 "Status Change" program efficiently creates accurate Work Ticket entries for raw materials in Sage 100 using a mobile device connected to a wireless network from the Workshop floor without requiring a Sage license.

All the options explained below are on the "Status Update" tab in the web portal at Customers.Scanco.com 

NOTE: The lookup button can be displayed or removed depending on Profile settings. Click this link for additional information.

 

Data collection process

The above option must be enabled before you can use the Status Change programming.

To access the program:

Log into Scanco Manufacturing 100

and then touch the "Status Change" icon.

The First Prompt...

Employee prompt OR Work Ticket prompt: Depending on your Profile settings, the first prompt is either the Employee prompt or the Work Ticket prompt.

Employee prompt: Scan your badge’s barcode, key in your employee ID, or look up your employee ID.

      

Data Entry: The entry can contain the hyphen or the entry can be made without the hyphen.

Choose an Employee from the lookup by touching the record on the lookup screen.    

Work Ticket prompt: Scan, key in or look up the work ticket number.

      

NOTE: Only "Open" work tickets will appear in the Lookup. Choose a Work Ticket from the lookup by touching the record on the lookup screen.

    

 

 

Status Code Entry prompt: When the "Default Status" option [shown above] is empty, then the Status Code prompt will be empty. When the Default Status option contains valid data, then the Status Code prompt will be filled with that data.

      

Choose a Status Code from the lookup by touching the record on the lookup screen.    

 

Quantity Entry prompt: When the "Default Quantity Complete" option [shown above] contains valid data, then the Quantity Complete prompt will be filled with that data.

When the "Allow Edit Qty Completed" option [shown above]is enabled, the user can enter and\or change the Default Quantity Complete. 

     

The Keyboard and Enter buttons are accessible on the menu when needed. 

 

When the "Allow Edit Comment" option is enabled, the user can enter a comment or press enter when the prompt is blank to skip comment entry.

When the "Allow Review" option is enabled, touching the Review button will display a list of previously collected work tickets. Choosing a work ticket from the list on the first screen below will display the details about that item as shown on the second screen.

      

The menu includes a "See Comment" button to display the entire comment that was collected.

The menu includes a "Delete" button to remove the displayed work ticket.

      

 

When the "Auto Send" option is enabled, the data collected is sent to Sage after each entry is completed.

When the "Enable Send button" option is enabled, the user MUST press the "Send" button to submit the collected data. The Send button is at the Work Order prompt. After pressing Send the user must confirm they want to submit the data they have collected. After the send is complete the Success message will be displayed and the user can press OK or Results. 

      

How the data gets into Work Ticket Entry:

In Sage, under the

"Production Management" module, in the "Mobility" folder, you will need to run the

"Manufacturing EZ Import"

Once the Manufacturing EZ Import is running, press the "Proceed" button.

Data will be imported as it is sent from mobile devices. Any data collected while the Manufacturing EZ Import was not running will be imported as soon as you press the Proceed button.

After importing data you will find the Work ticket entry with all the data that was collected on the mobile device. The Work ticket entry can be reviewed before running your Work Ticket Transaction Journal/Update.
