Scanco Sales: Setting Up and Printing to a Zebra Bluetooth Printer

The "Sales" app can print directly from iOS or Android devices to a Zebra Bluetooth printer.

Outside of the Sales App, connect the [iOS or Android] device to the desired Zebra Bluetooth enabled printer.

Log in to the Sales App.

After the login has been accepted, go into "setting".


Scroll down in Settings and enable ‘Bluetooth Zebra Printer’.

 

 

 

Enabling the ‘Bluetooth Zebra Printer’ option triggers a search for connected printers and the printer should automatically show up under the switch:

Tapping the row with the printer name will trigger the search AND it will get the printer’s status.

  • In iOS devices, press the ‘Done’ button in the upper left of the Settings screen.
  • In Android devices, press the back button.

 

 

Select the ‘Sales Orders’ button in the upper left of the main menu screen
Select ‘By Number’ to see the list of available sales orders

 

Select any sales order to open it.
Press the ‘Share’ icon in the upper right corner of the navigation bar

 

Select ‘Print’ from the action sheet

The screen that opens will:

1. Show the available printer. The printer can be changed by tapping the Arrow on the right.

2. Show the selected zpl template. The template can be changed by tapping the Arrow on the right. See the next screen for changing the template.

3. Show a visual representation of the printout, and the raw zpl code. You can 'slide' the screen up\down to preview the entire printout. You can 'pinch zoom' by using two fingers on the screen to zoom in if needed.

 

Press the ‘Print’ button in the upper right corner to send the receipt to the printer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is the screen for changing the template. Touch the template you want to print to change the template or press Back in the upper left corner to exit this screen.

 

 

A dialog will appear while printing…

And a dialog will show when it has completed printing, 

or if there was an error printing.

 

 

The "Preview" screen shows all the "printer language code" below the graphical print preview.

If there is anything on the template that needs to be modified, then you want to find it in the printer language code.

Slide the page up until you find the section that needs to be modified.

 

 

You can design your own templates or edit our pre-fab templates at customers.scanco.com on the "Receipts" tab.

Highlight a template, press the "Edit Selected Template" button, press the "Redraw" button to see the graphical version of the template. Edits are made in the "Template Text" window.

 

This is the header section.

In this example, Sales Person:

is hardcoded into the template.

You could change Sales Person: to Driver: if needed.

There is a list of variables that can be changed or added on the Receipts tab.

 

 

 

 

This is the Details section.
If I wanted to remove the Warehouse from the printout you would remove $WAREHOUSECODE$ 

from
^FO40,50^AB^FD$WAREHOUSECODE$^FS
to
^FO40,50^AB^FD    ^FS

There is a list of variables that can be changed or added on the Receipts tab.

 

 

 

If you are editing a Pre-fab template, press Save As and create a custom template.

If you are editing a custom template, 

EITHER press Save As to create a NEW custom template, 

OR press Save to overwrite your custom template.
