Setting up remote unattended import

Setting up remote unattended import for clients

Starting remote unattended import:

The program BCWIMP can be used in Sage Task scheduler to launch the unattended import as a background task.

It also can be invoked from windows or a shortcut icon using the following information:

Target:

\\tsesage\Acct\v2019SQL\mas90\Home\pvxwin32.exe -hd../launcher/sota.ini ../soa/Startup.m4p -ARG DIRECT UION <scancomx01> <ABC123xyz> <LEL> BCWIMP

(For Example from my Sage 100 2017 test system)

C:\540\mas90\Home\pvxwin32.exe -hd../launcher/sota.ini ../soa/Startup.m4p -ARG DIRECT UION <sage 100 login> <sage 100 password> <sage 100 xxx company code> BCWIMP

Start In:

<path to /mas90/HOME folder>

(For Example from my Sage 100 2017 test system)

C:\540\mas90\HOME

Stopping remote unattended import:

The program BCWSTP can be used in Sage task scheduler to stop the remote unattended import, or can be set up to run from windows (similar to BCWIMP above)

The program BCWSTW will be on the bar code menu, this program also is for manually stopping the remote unattended import.

Strategies for using this:

The remote unattended import can be scheduled using a Windows task scheduler or the Sage 100 task scheduler to execute the starting and stopping of the import. You can make it start/stop and restart right afterward by scheduling it to start and stop at intervals throughout the day to insure it is running as well.
